This clear and polished piece of Amber is the permanent home to one spider and multiple insects. The example, weighing just under 23 grams, is certainly lovely and has an exceptional yellowish coloration. There is a bunch of activity inside this diorama dating back to the Oligocene including some evidence of trapped water, known as an enhydro, in the trapped bubbles of this piece. This sample is relatively thick, giving it an added dimensionality of intrigue, and, of course, the presence of a rare and most unusual pair of fossil spiders makes this an ideal specimen for Halloween.
