Fossilized tree resin (not sap) known as Amber has some amazing characteristics not the least of which is the presence of inclusions often found trapped inside specimens for all time. Transparent specimens can be polished to reveal the often perfectly preserved inhabitants in the ancient material. In this case, a big, clear specimen with several very nicely preserved insects are complete with numerous appendages suspended in this water-clear yellow fossil resin. This is one exceptional piece of Amber with whole and visible bugs adding to the intrigue of this highly collectible example. This was considered a top quality specimen by a knowledgeable dealer and is certainly worthy of appreciation. This is an Amber specimen for any collector.
