This complex specimen of fossilized tree resin known as Amber is from Chiapas, Mexico, and weighs an appropriate 139.9 grams. The dark and mysterious form has a rich Citrine coloration, but it is the star of this prehistoric scene that makes this so important. A "Walking Stick" insect of the Phasmida variety can be located inside this sculpturally artistic example. Some crevices show as white, where the polish could not reach. The interior is chock-full of inclusions, and the rarity of the main insect is phenomenal.
