This prehistoric suspension of fossilized tree resin known as Amber is quite clear which allows for ease of viewing of the numerous ancient ants and flies trapped inside for all time. The golden-yellow dollop abstractly shaped like a very thin computer mouse is relatively large for such a piece, measuring nearly almost 4 inches (10 cm). This piece has both size and intrigue making it worthy of any collection, and a large specimen of Dominican Amber with multiple inclusions is definitely a prize. The example weighing 77.7 grams has members of the Orders Hymenoptera and Diptera which include the ants and the flies.
