Over the years, Burmite Amber has contributed a huge proportion of the feathers that are known from Amber. This is likely because feathered animals, including dinosaurs, birds, and extinct bird-like animals, were the dominant vertebrate lifeforms in the tropical Cretaceous forest that gave rise to Burmite. This perfectly prepared, nearly flawless piece contains a single feather preserved with astonishing clarity and detail. This is an excellent offering, weighing 0.36 grams.
