Original study for a painting that was reproduced in the December 1944 issue of Esquire Magazine. Glued to the original painting above the subject's head was a sprig of mistletoe which Alberto Vargas also rendered. The original painting is in the permanent collection of the Spencer Museum in Lawrence Kansas. In addition to being illustrated in the book Varga: the Esquire Years, the painting was also reproduced on the cover of the book's dust jacket. In 1987, San Francisco Art Exchange published a limited edition continuous tone lithograph edition of the completed painting called "Cover Girl".
