The octagonal, baluster-form coffee pot with allover chased and
stippled scrolling foliate and floral decoration, surmounted by a
cast flame-form finial, cast segmented S-scroll handle with
acanthus thumb rest, flared spout, raised on a conforming stepped
foot. Underside features effaced retailer marks for William
Carrington and Hayden Brother & Co., Charleston, South Carolina.
