    The service engraved with monogram J to handle terminal to each; the original fitted case engraved with monogram J to inset brass plaque to center of hinged lid, and marked MAPPIN & WEBB LTD, REGENT ST LONDON W to interior rim.

    Condition Report*: The service is in overall good condition with fine surface scratches commensurate with polishing and as expected with age and use; the salad forks with slight bends to a few tines and one with 1/8" inch scratch to handle terminal near monogram; the fruit spoons each with minor rubbing to gilding to well of spoons and one with loss to gilding; the ice spoons each with strong gilding to well of spoons; the two-piece dessert sets with shallow 1/8" inch dent to handle terminal of one fork and a few with slight bends to tines; the original case in overall good condition, with original flatware metal identification labels intact, light errant rubbing to interior velvet lining.
