    A Binji Mask
    Democratic Republic of Congo, c. early 20th century

    Woven fibers in a pointed rectangle or arrow shape with a striped band across top, all with red, black, and white earth pigments, the bottom with a strip of animal hide, a few locks of horse hair, and long raffia fringe. Large woven fiber eyes with white and red earth pigments. In very good condition, appropriate for age, origin, and mediums.
