    Printed report of battle attached to reverse: ENGAGEMENT of the 14th of March 1795 off Genoa between the British Fleet consisting of 14 sail of the line besides Frigates & the French Fleet of 14 sail of the Line besides Frigates. A Particular Representation of the two captured ships of the Enemy the Ca'Ira of 84 guns and the Censure of 74 guns also of the Illustrious of 74 guns. Capt Thos. Lenox Frederick Esq. and the Courageous of 74 guns Capt. Augustus Montgomery Esq. after thrree hours & a half close action with the above ships and at the same time receiving the Fire of the Line passing to windward.

    Condition Report*: large (5in) oval tear along left edge above ship repaired and overpainted, 1in tear in sky left center repaired and overpainted, significant scuffing of surface along left edge and in small patches of sky, circular area of discoloration in center sky above center ship
