Scott Winterrowd

Scott Winterrowd is the Director of Education at the Meadows Museum, where he focuses on gallery teaching, developing training for the museum's docent program, teaching SMU classes in the art museum, and developing programming and teacher training for K-12 audiences. In addition, he assists in public programming for the museum that includes gallery talks, lectures and symposia.

Winterrowd originally joined the Meadows Museum in 2007 in the role of Curator of Education. Prior to joining Meadows, he held positions in the education departments of the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles and the Dallas Museum of Art. He completed a Master's degree in Art Education at the University of North Texas as part of the Edward and Betty Marcus Fellows Program.

In 2014, Winterrowd was awarded Art Museum Educator of the Year for the Western Division of the National Art Education Association. He has been invited to lecture and teach at numerous museums including the The Gilcrease Museum, Kimbell Art Museum, Reynolda House Museum, and the Dallas Museum of Art
