DALLAS, Texas (April 15, 2021) — Prospective collectors sometimes ask experts how to decide what to collect – a question to which the answer invariably is to “collect what you love." Whether longtime Dallas resident Arthur E. Reichstadt ever personally heard that sage advice is unknown, but it is a theme that grew throughout his decades of collecting.

Reichstadt spent more than 40 years collecting, assembling a trove that revealed, among other things, his passion for Tiffany Studios. He took his time, combing through countless options over the years to find exactly what appealed to him most, embracing his preference for quality over quantity.

“For him, Tiffany Studios really was just that – a passion – and he could spend hours with family and friends, losing himself in discussions about Tiffany Studios' craftsmanship and brilliant colors, which he felt reflected the dazzling palette of colors found in nature, " Heritage Auctions Senior Vice President of Special Collections Nick Dawes said. "He fervently hoped that his rare and stunning pieces would wind up with collectors who enjoy them as much as he did."

Reichstadt's wish has a chance to come true in Heritage Auctions' Lalique & Art Glass Including Art Deco & Art Nouveau Auction April 29, which includes 21 selections from the Estate of Arthur E. Reichstadt – a selection that boasts floriform vases of immense scale, a reactive glass bottle vase, wheel-carved, decorated examples, and pastille pieces, all in excellent condition.

Highlights include, but are not limited to:
