The urn-shaped vessel with one pseudo-handle in the form of a merman rising from the choppy sea, supporting an arching nude nymph in his arms, the other in the form of a rearing sea creature, its open mouth grimacing, the body with a seascape featuring a merman and nymph amongst the waves and birds flying above, a series of scallop shells encircling the foot, preserving the original separate metal interior liner
