AN AMERICAN SILVER MARTELE BOWL
Gorham, Providence, Rhode Island, 1906
The undulating rim with folded edges and expertly hand chased floral decoration, hammered surfaces with a satin finish. The Gorham company records show this as a special order Berry bowl, completed on June 14th of 1906, made by George A. Shart and decorated by David Wilmot an accomplished Chaser. Making time was 28 hours, chasing time 44 hours, marked Gorham Martele .9584 KVT,
