DALLAS, TEXAS: Heritage Galleries & Auctioneers (HGA) will auction an 18-karat yellow gold, 29-diamond ring given to Jo Alden by Elvis Presley in their upcoming Signature auction, to be held October 8, 2005 in their Dallas, Texas headquarters.

"This stunning piece of jewelry was a gift from the King of Rock and Roll to his dear friend, Jo Alden, the mother of his last girlfriend, Ginger Alden" said Doug Norwine, Director of HGA's Music and Entertainment auctions. "The multi-colored diamonds, some of which are marquis-cut and some of which are brilliant-cut, have a total weight of 3.41 karats. Best of all, this ring comes with letters of provenance which impeccably detail its chain of ownership."

"Even today, nearly thirty years after his death, Elvis remains one of the leading pop icons of the 20th century," Norwine added. "Mementoes and memorabilia from 'The King' are avidly sought by those who cherish his memories, and a personal object like this is the 'holy grail' for many collectors. The ring has a pre-auction estimate of $28,000 - $30,000.
