Heritage Decorative Arts Auction a Stunning Success!

DALLAS, TEXAS: Heritage Galleries & Auctioneers (HGA) held their latest Decorative Arts Signature Auction on September 17, 2005 in their Dallas, Texas headquarters. 1,107 bidders competed for 1,078 lots, 210 of them successfully, for a final total of $970,681. After-auction sales, which are still ongoing, are expected to drive the final prices realized to over $1 million.

"This was a very successful event for us," said Kevin Chapman, Consignment Director for HGA. "Prices across the board were strong, especially in the area of decorative silver. We had a good turnout, and some aggressive bidding, both on the floor and over the phone and Internet. This is a fascinating area of collecting, and I'm looking forward to our next auction, to be held December 10, 2005 in Dallas."
