Double Framed Fossil Fish (Positive/Negative). Nursalia sp.. Cretaceous. Ajoula, Leban...
Description
Double Framed Fossil Fish (Positive/Negative)Nursalia sp.
Cretaceous
Ajoula, Lebanon
This exceptional paired fossil fish represents both the positive and negative impressions of a single specimen of Nursalia sp., preserved in fine-grained Limestone from the Cretaceous deposits of Ajoula, Lebanon. When the stone was split along a natural cleavage plane, the fossil was revealed on both halves, creating a rare two-in-one display showing complementary detail of the fish's form. Both halves are in excellent condition and are mounted together in a custom patinated Coltan steel frame, oxidized to achieve a warm, textured finish that enhances the presentation. A refined and scientifically significant fossil pairing, beautifully presented to highlight the remarkable preservation and symmetry of Lebanon's Cretaceous fish fossils.
