Description
Quartz ScepterRoyal Scepter Mine, Petersen Mountain, Hallelujah Junction area, Washoe County, Nevada, USA
22 x 7 x 7 cm (8.66 x 2.76 x 2.76 in)
This very well-formed Quartz scepter comes from the famous Royal Scepter Mine in the Hallelujah Junction area. The top of the specimen is dominated by an immense, doubly-terminated tip (9.7 centimeters) that resides on a thick "stem." While most of the stem is filled with an intense smoky grey color, the tip is fairly translucent with zones of amethystine-purple and grey zoning that envelope its colorless interior. One side of the tip is adorned with a smaller Quartz crystal, adding an extra point of interest to the specimen. This piece comes with a custom acrylic base.
From the collection of Daniel "Dan" R. Kennedy.
More Information: This piece is in great condition with very minor chatter and one repair on the crystal isolated at the top of the specimen.
