Description
Polished Seymchan CubePallasite, PMG
Magadanskaya oblast', Russia - (62° 54'N, 152° 26'E)
Found: June 1967
0.61 x 0.61 x 0.59 inches (1.55 x 1.55 x 1.50 cm)
This expertly polished cube was cut from the Seymchan Pallasite, one of the most visually striking meteorite types known. Transparent golden-green Olivine crystals are embedded within the Nickel-Iron matrix, each section revealing the dramatic contrast between metallic brilliance and gemlike inclusions. Measuring 0.61 inches (1.55 cm) on each side and weighing 14.88 grams, the specimen exhibits the balance of strength and delicacy unique to this rare class of meteorite. The precision cutting and high polish accentuate both structure and translucence, making this a true collector's specimen. A superb example of extraterrestrial artistry, this Seymchan cube would stand as an extraordinary and timeless addition to any finer collection.
Estimate: $400 - up.
