Description

Beryl var. Aquamarine
Sherlova Gora, Adun-Cholon Range
Nerchinsky District, Zabaykalsky Krai
Russia

A large cluster of double-terminated Aquamarine crystals, featuring numerous slender vertical prisms joined together in a striking, naturally intergrown formation. Several horizontal crystals intersect the cluster-likely original terminations that fractured and later rehealed, a process that adds both visual and mineralogical interest. The crystals display strong color saturation and fine longitudinal striations, characteristic of Aquamarine from the Sherlova Gora pegmatites, a classic Russian locality long known for producing high-quality Beryl specimens. A well-composed and attractive specimen, notable for its clarity, structure, and naturally rehealed growth, exemplifying the distinctive material from this historic mining region.
Measurements: 6.00 x 2.00 x 1.50 inches (15.24 x 5.08 x 3.81 cm)

Provenance: Property of a Distinguished Southern California Collector
