This impressive, museum-sized Ruby crystal displays a robust and symmetrical hexagonal habit, showcasing the classic morphology of Corundum in its natural state. Weighing an extraordinary 9.8 pounds (4.5 kilograms), the crystal is nearly as wide as it is tall, lending it a powerful, monolithic presence. Its rich purplish-red coloration-intensified by natural translucency in certain areas-exemplifies the deep, saturated tones characteristic of Indian Ruby. With well-defined faces and substantial size, this specimen stands out as both a mineralogical rarity and a striking decorative object.
