The Selenite specimens from Salinas de Otuma seemingly set a higher standard for the species with many of the higher-quality pieces having an incredibly rich orange color, watery-clear crystals, and highly pronounced fishtail-twinning. This is a particularly fantastic specimen that is all but covered in a thick grove of well-formed Selenite crystals that reach up to 5.2 centimeters in size. Underneath shortwave UV light, the amber-orange Selenite crystals strongly fluoresce a pale-yellow hue. While smaller specimens of this material are more common, larger pieces like this were not seen too often on the market. This piece comes with a custom acrylic base.
