This stunning single crystal of Spodumene is an immense, fully-formed, complete "floater" with a sharp termination at its peak and sharp etching across the crystal's underside. All throughout, the crystal has excellent internal clarity and is near colorless, accented with a soft tinge of yellow, granting it the tentative varietal name "Triphane." Each of the prismatic faces are smooth, lustrous, and detailed with striations across the wider faces; small pockets of natural etching are isolated across the specimen with the most pronounced running as a "seam" across the specimen's back side. The Spodumene fluoresces a gentle orange under UV light. This piece comes with a custom acrylic base.
From the collection of Daniel "Dan" R. Kennedy.
