Description
AzuriteShilu Mine, Yangchun Co., Yangjiang, Guangdong, China
10.8 x 6.0 x 5.9 cm (4.3 x 2.4 x 2.3 in)
This striking specimen from the Shilu Mine is composed entirely of sharply bladed Azurite crystals, which are tightly aggregated into two intergrown rosettes. The larger of the two, prominently displayed at one end, measures an impressive 6.6 centimeters across. The Azurite is rich and saturated with a deep to electric blue color, enhanced by a bright luster across each crystal face. Small associations of green Malachite are scattered around the specimen, partially pseudomorphing some of the Azurite crystals.
More Information: This piece is in excellent condition. Please note, there is some older black mounting putty on the back side of the specimen.
