Description

Quartz (Japan Law Twin) with Chlorite Inclusions
Flor de Peru I claim (Tentadora Mine), Mt Ullpac, Pampa Blanca District, Castrovirreyna Province, Huancavelica, Peru
9.9 x 6.9 x 6.4 cm (3.90 x 2.72 x 2.52 in)

A striking set of Quartz crystals with sharp Japan Law twinning, with the largest reaching a respectable 6.5 x 5.8 centimeters in size and acting as the focal point of the specimen. Each of the crystals are somewhat milky and translucent but have very well-defined zones of dark green Chlorite inclusions along outer edges and terminations. The piece has a 360-degree display, with the back and side views being chock-full of beautiful, twinned Quartz crystals. A few normal-habit Quartz crystals are isolated around the piece. The underside of the specimen is flatter, allowing the piece to present well on its own.

From the collection of Daniel "Dan" R. Kennedy.

More Information: This piece is in great condition with some mild bruising on the back and right side of the specimen.
