Here is a specimen from the famous Cavnic Mine that is fully composed of plate-like aggregates of thin Quartz points that practically rake across the top view. The Quartz points have a slightly smoky interior and are nicely terminated, with some even showing double terminations. The Quartz points are partially coated in tannish Dolomite crystals, which are primarily consolidated to one half of the Quartz. The underside of the Quartz cluster is naturally flat, allowing the piece to present well on its own.
