QUARTZ
Capelinha, Jequitinhonha Valley, Minas Gerais, Brazil

This impressive Quartz group consists of a series of large "hoppered" crystals (sometimes called Elestial Quartz) that rise up together in parallel orientation. These crystals mark their growth faces with layers of inclusions that give them a very distinctive, complex interior. The color grades from a very light smoky to almost black on the edges, and the inclusions are an orange brown. The luster is quite high and the specimen is in excellent condition. There is a custom acrylic base.
Overall measurements: 7 x 10 x 5 inches (17.8 x 25.4 x 12.7 cm). Offered at no reserve.
