Ai-Todor: Romanov Ephemera Relating to the Crimean Estate of Grand Duke Alexander Mikhailovich
Various dates, various sizes

Comprising an original map of the Estate of Ai-Todor dedicated to Grand Duke Alexander Mikhailovich in an embossed leather folder stamped in gilt "Ai-Todor"; a souvenir booklet stamped "Memories of Crimea" published by I. Semenov, Yalta.

Ai-Todor, situated in the village of Gaspra near Yalta, was acquired in 1869. The estate and its surrounding grounds consisted of a small palace, outbuildings, and the development of a park featuring fountains and landscaped alleys.

In 1890, the "Ai-Todor" estate was divided between Grand Duke Alexander Mikhailovich and his brother. Alexander Mikhailovich commissioned the construction of a new palace in Art Nouveau style seen on the offered map. The rest of the estate became Kharax, the estate of Grand Duke George Mikhailovich.
