This impressive partial skull belongs to Bison antiquus, an extinct ancestor of the modern American bison and one of the most iconic large mammals of the Pleistocene Epoch. Likely from a mature male, the specimen retains both robust horn cores, sweeping outward in a dramatic curve that reflects the species' powerful build and competitive behavior. With deep sutures, weathered bone texture, and excellent structural preservation, this piece offers both anatomical detail and visual impact. Bison antiquus was a dominant herbivore across North America for over 10,000 years and played a central role in Ice Age ecosystems.
