This angular Iron mass represents a classic example of the Gebel Kamil Meteorite, a rare Ataxite associated with the small but dramatic impact event discovered in Egypt's Eastern Desert. Sharp ridges and deep cavities across the surface reflect the intense mechanical deformation that occurred during atmospheric entry and subsequent fragmentation. Bright metallic accents highlight the high Nickel content typical of this fall, creating a striking contrast against the darker, weathered patina. Subtle flow textures and regmaglypt-like impressions enhance the sculptural quality of the specimen while preserving evidence of its violent passage to Earth. This distinctive fragment from Gebel Kamil offers a compelling addition to any serious meteorite collection.
