A Chinese Carved Jadeite Tea Bowl and Cover, 19th century
3-1/4 x 4-1/2 inches (8.3 x 11.4 cm) (diam.)

The exterior of the bowl carved in low relief with a phoenix amongst large peony blooms in a garden setting, beneath a fretwork decorative band on the mouth rim. The domed lid decorated en suite. All supported by a slightly tapered short foot. The stone of an overall smoky celadon hue with spinach-green splashes.
