Alexandre Hogue, a significant figure in the American art scene, is renowned for his works that poignantly depicted the Great Depression's Dust Bowl era, marking him as a key artist of the "Regionalist" style. However, his artistic scope encompassed much more. In the work "Expectant Mother," part of the "Generational Triptych" series from 1986, Hogue embraced a more intimate, figurative approach.
