An Extensive Six-Piece Dominick & Haff Chased Repoussé Silver Tea and Coffee Set, New York, circa 1879Marks to tallest: (lozenge-D&H-circle-diamond, 1881), STERLING, 88

The lot commemorates the marriage and birthdays of the President of the Brooklyn City Railroad and President of the Dime Serving Bank, Seymour Legrand Husted, and his wife, Mary Jane Kendall Husted.
The lot comprising:
1 coffee pot, 1879, with inscription Seymour L. Husted & Mary J. Husted from their children & grandchildren in commemoration of their 70th birthdays, Sept. 10th, 1880-Feb. 20th, 1881;
1 teapot, 1880, with inscription Husted. Sept. 10th, 1880-Feb. 20th, 1881;
1 covered sugar bowl, 1880, with inscription Husted. Sept. 10th, 1880-Feb. 20th, 1881;
1 covered butter dish, 1880, with monogram S.S;
1 creamer, with inscription Husted. Sept. 10th, 1880-Feb. 20th, 1881;
1 water pitcher, 1881, with monogram AB.

Condition Report*:
The water pitcher with minor pushes to bottom, and slight instability when in place; the coffee and teapots with a small pin dent to each foot; the creamer with an effaced date mark; the butter dish with small pin dents to cover's conforming rim, and otherwise presents very well, all but the water pitcher originally retailed by Theodore B. Starr of New York.
