Dr. Michael DeBakey Signed 3-Dimensional Heart Model

While this colorful and accurate plastic model of the human heart is quite impressive simply as is, especially since it comes apart in sections allowing for viewing both the visible external and other internal features of the organ, the model is secured with a metal pin rod to a white plastic base that also just happens to be signed in black marker by the legendary cardiac surgeon, Dr. Michael Ellis DeBakey as Michael E. DeBakey, whose distinguished career spanned an astounding 75 years. The medical pioneer has a list of accomplishments much too long to detail here and was even awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom. This is a rather unusual offering, but something of great intrigue, autographed by the true giant in his field, who had an extraordinary career spanning eight decades. The sections of the heart model are numbered, and there is a small nick at the very top on the side.
