Description

Beryl var. Aquamarine & Muscovite
Nagar District
Gilgit-Baltistan
Pakistan

While Aquamarine specimens from this renowned region have entered the market in recent years, few rival the aesthetic excellence and balance of the present display piece. The large, well-formed hexagonal crystal of Aquamarine displays a fine sea-blue coloration with remarkable transparency and internal clarity, particularly impressive for a crystal of this substantial size. The prism faces are brilliantly lustrous, and the crystal edges remain sharp and crisp, emphasizing the geometric precision characteristic of top-tier aquamarine. There is some slight etching evident on one of the edges. The Muscovite matrix has been expertly trimmed to enhance compositional harmony, creating a natural "golden triangle" that visually anchors the specimen. The broad, bladed Muscovite crystals exhibit exceptional integrity and delicate pearly luster, their soft silvery-gray tones providing a refined counterpoint to the Aquamarine's vivid blue. This specimen exemplifies the finest qualities of pegmatitic mineral formation-color, clarity, symmetry, and aesthetic composition-making it a museum-grade example and a true prize for any serious collector.
