Libyan Desert Glass is a classic variety of impactite and offers many superlative attributes, such as vitreous luster, conchoidal fracture, vivid translucence, and captivating yellowish-green coloration. This specimen exhibits those qualities, but also offers the added bonus of an unusual presentation as this piece includes a cut and polished window face that allows viewing into - and even through - the offering. Weighing 153.3 grams, this is a nice size and has an excellent exterior, with features of mixed texture and complex form. This piece is no run-of-the-mill LDG and is quite a unique display specimen.
