In a very natural state, without the visible repair and restoration so common with such fossils, this tooth is a bit rustic in appearance. However, this exceptionally massive example is from T-rex and measures an impressive 4.8 inches (12.2 cm) in straight-line length, making it quite the example of dentition from the consummate apex predator of the Late Cretaceous. Out of the Hell Creek from Montana, this extremely sizable offering boasts superb form, pleasing color, and great serrations. Of course, there are visible crack repairs where the pieces of the tooth were reassembled, making the uncommon unrestored specimen rather alluring. The piece lacks a considerable section near the bottom on one side, which does serve to reveal a partially hollow core in this prehistoric tooth. A natural presentation with only stabilization work performed on the major representation, this is incredibly majestic. A huge tooth from iconic T-rex, this fossil from the king carnivore is simply awe-inspiring.
