Gersdorffite with Annabergite and Quartz
Vein No. 51, Aït Ahmane, Bou Azzer mining district, Drâa-Tafilalet Region, Morocco
19 x 15 x 6 cm (7.48 x 5.91 x 2.36 in)

Abundant beds of Gersdorffite frame nearly every edge of the specimen with metallic grey, tightly intergrown, and sharply-formed octahedral crystals, ranging from only a few millimeters to a whopping 3.6 centimeters across. Best presented at the top left of the specimen, each crystal has a wonderfully stepped pattern, which complements Gersdorffite's resplendent luster. Spread across the rest of the matrix are green, microcrystalline Annabergite and amorphous to crystallized associations of Quartz, both of which lend a moderate balance to the Gersdorffite. This piece comes with a custom acrylic base.

More Information: This piece is in excellent condition. Please note, both the Gersdorffite and Annabergite in this specimen contain nickel and arsenic. It is recommended to handle with care, avoid ingestion, and wash hands thoroughly after handling.
