In recent years, finds from Brazil yielded very large crystals of Vivianite, an iron phosphate mineral that is best known for its green-blue pleochroism and deeply colored, prismatic crystals. This piece from the Cabeça do Cachorro claim is primarily composed of this Vivianite, along with beautiful associated dollops of Ludlamite, another phosphate mineral that has an interesting aggregated habit and lovely olive hues. All on a substantial Siderite matrix, this specimen has a great presence.

More Information: This specimen is in good condition, with some cleaving around the Vivianite.
