The present work depicts E.T., a loveable alien character from the Universal film E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial produced and directed by Steven Spielberg. Spielberg's film, starring a young Henry Thomas and Drew Berry, became a turning point in his career as a leading figure in Hollywood. E.T. went on to be a summer hit at the box office and Spielberg's highest grossing film, beating his previous record set by his 1975 Jaws.

The work is accompanied by seven of the Famous Monsters of Filmland November 1982 magazine.

Condition Report*: Very small impression at upper left extreme edge with minor subsequent crack. Very small, less than 1/4 inch, horizontal surface abrasion at lower left. Wear and markings to board in keeping with illustration and publishing process. Framed under glass. Not examined outside of frame.
