A Group of Tairona Gold Items
Colombia, c. 100 BC - 600 AD

A small figural pendant, a traditional chieftain wearing a large fan-shaped headdress, finely detailed. Two loops at back for suspension. And four cut-sheet gold dangles including a bird. All in excellent condition.

Heights: ranging from ½ to 1 ½ inches

More Information: XRF shows the larger figural pendant is 10 karat gold; the small dangles are 20 karat gold. Weights: Figure - 6 grams; Four Dangles (cumulative)- 4 grams; Total - 10 grams.
