Condition Report*:
On cradled panel support. Scattered instances of minor frame abrasion and small chips to the paint layer at edges, mostly covered by the frame. Very slight yellowing to the varnish layer. Scattered instances of faint craquelure. A very few scattered pinpoint losses and hairline scratches, most notably a diagonal scratch, approximately 1-inch in length, in lower right quadrant with associated paint loss. Minor surface dirt and dust. Not examined out of frame.
Under UV: varnish fluoresces green unevenly and appears to have been partially removed from the sky area. Brushy retouching at lower edge and in the sky, particularly in the left side of the work. Some additional small dots and dashes of more finely applied retouching scattered throughout, primarily affecting the sky.
