The pair of urns on square bronze bases, cobalt ground with gilt fleur-de-lis decoration to neck with gilt beaded border, olive wreath border to foot, the scene commemorating the Battle of Fontenoy during the reign of King Louis XV in 1745, with foot soldiers and aristocracy on horseback near a chateau.
