Description
Lot of Eight Assorted Edged Weapons. Comprising: 1) Clamshell Hunting Dagger. 18-inch polished steel blade with tapered point. Ornate German silver clamshell guard with turned up and turned down quillons. Floral-tooled ferrule below ribbed yellow celluloid grip. Ornate oval German silver pommel cap. Condition: Very good with light age wear and patina. 2) Antique Machete. 16-inch blade with swallow tail tip and simple engraved panels. Curved bone grip panels secured with 3 iron rivets.Condition:Very good with light age wear and patina. 3) Ancient Bronze Dagger. 14-inch spearpoint blade with median rib. Integral, studded u-shaped guard, grip and oval pommel cap. Exact age and origin unknown. Condition: Near relic condition with scattered cracks and deposits to metal surface. 4) Antique Knife. 4-inch lanceolate blade. Finely checkered bone grip panels secured with two iron studs. Condition: Fair. Heavy age wear and patina. Losses to end of grip panels and looseness. 5) Example with 9-inch, slightly curved etched blade with carved bone handle.Condition:Fair to good. Blade with wear and pitting. Loose fit to grip. 6) Example with 8-inch slightly curved, etched blade with serrations. Carved crystal grip. Condition:Good. Moderate age wear and patina. 7) Dagger with carved bone handle and scabbard. 7 1/4-inch, slightly curved, etched blade. Scabbard with decorative, brass tip. Condition: Fair to good. Blade with age wear and patina. Scattered fine pitting. Crack to grip. 8) Cased Jambiya. 4 1/2-inch curved blade. Brass grip and scabbard. Contained in green felt case. Condition: Fine to excellent. Minor storage wear.
