This original painting was made during the World War I era (1914-1918) for U. S. Army recruitment purposes. Perhaps it was hung in a public place during the war to attract new recruits or perhaps used to make posters. The original owner obtained this during the war and mailed it back to his wife. This beautiful, patriotic painting is a one-of-a-kind piece of war memorabilia, a nearly one-hundred-year-old piece of history.
