Impressively, this entire Fluorite specimen is heavily etched, so much so that it is unique compared to the more typically seen, mildly etched, purple cubes. Not only does the Fluorite's deep purple color contrast nicely against the white Calcite matrix, the blend of luster and etching gives the Fluorite an almost sparkly, wet appearance. Under shortwave UV light, the Fluorite fluoresces a deep red hue. This piece comes with a custom acrylic base.
