This sizable specimen is fully composed of Pyrite, displaying a dense field of well-formed pyritohedral crystals across the top surface, with the largest reaching 0.8 centimeters. Each crystal shows a bright metallic luster and a rich brassy-yellow color, giving the piece an especially vibrant appearance. Specimens of this scale are notably uncommon from the historical yet relatively obscure Empire Zinc Mine.

More Information: This piece is in excellent condition. Please note, the collection label erroneously lists the piece as coming from the Empire Zinc Mine. Based on preliminary research, the specimen is mostly likely to have originated from the locality listed above.
