Two related fossils comprise this offering, but come from to very disparate localities. The rugged natural fossil is a partial Woolly Mammoth tooth from Florida. This remnant of Ice Age dentition is rather rough, with granular deposits, well-defined segments, and a muted blue and white coloration. The other piece consists of a mass of Woolly Mammoth "wool" or hair from one of the ancient beasts that was probably frozen after death to result in such soft parts preserving. The fibrous strands were found in a permafrost region of Russia and exhibit coarse texture with a brownish coloration. The duo is a unique pair of items.
