Andy Warhol (American, 1928-1987), Campbell's Soup Can Polaroid. Original, undated Polaroid photograph with black stamped ink Campbell's Soup Can overlayed. Measures 4" x 4" and is affixed with adhesive photo corners to white board in frame. Silver-toned stepped frame measures 8.625" x 8.625". Polaroid photo appears to depict an array of shadows cast on a blank wall, possibly from a balcony, upon which a black ink screen print of Warhol's iconic Campbell's Soup Can was applied on top of the Polaroid, possibly by silkscreen or sublimation. Extraneous black ink marks indicate application by hand. With Stamp of Authenticity from the Estate of Andy Warhol to verso, visible through cutout to frame back. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
