LARGE SCALE MODEL OF A SPANISH GALLEON WITH CANNON
Overall length 96 inches (243.8 cm)
A remarkable, seaworthy 1/2 in scale wooden model of a fully rigged Spanish galleon of the late 17th century. The vessel has been afloat on the Atlantic ocean for ten years to achieve an authentic, weathered appearance, and draws 16 inches of water. Includes several carved wooden crew members and authentic details including painted hull features, linen sails and pennants and cannon designed to be fired with a powder charge. Built by master modeler J. Carlin.
